Large Garden Restoration - Ashurst Wood
"It was a real pleasure working with John..."
The client required different areas of their large garden to be replanted - principally the front driveway area and the planting beds surrounding the house, a large rockery and the entire restoration of the main border plus other challenging areas in the more shaded parts of the garden. The soil proved to be light and free-draining which allowed for the use of many Mediterranean and drought-tolerant plants - including Cistus, Lavender, Salvias and Phlomis.
"It was a real pleasure working with John to restore our large, long neglected garden. From our first meeting it was clear that he would listen to our requirements and work with us to create something
that met our aspirations. We had a vague idea of what we wanted but not how we would achieve it. This is where John’s eye for colour, knowledge of plants and design skills were invaluable. We now have a garden that is a delight to look at and brings us pleasure throughout the year."
